Personally I hope M&M doesn't disappear, as it has a respectable daytime line-up, I personally like all the crimefighters style shows and I know a few people who enjoy the programmes on bikes and cars and what have you. Yeah, don't under-estimate Men & Motors, it's always been doing quite well in a very understated way. I went for an inteview at GSB many years ago (yeah, phew!) and it was their most successful channel then too - always has been

But is it as successful now bearing in mind there are now lots of other 'one-handed' channels available?

Not surprising as it only closed on Monday evening - I imagine next weeks listings mags will also feature listings.

Hard to explain this but Granda Plus lives in cableland in Milton Keynes.

Although it's hard to work out but basically cable here is done through a decoder as normal but you can also pick up some channels below the 21-69 UHF that you would use normally to pick up your main 5 channels. Now I don't paid for a decoder here as frankly the choice on cable in Milton Keynes is **** so I just have the basic of basic selections which is the main 5 channels, News 24, QVC and Sky One for about £3 a month.

As it's only analogue here, should I want to have a decoder then it's limited to about 30 channels which also means having the movie and sports channels within those 30 so it's a bit pants.

Anyway should I want to tune in my telly to see what else I can get. I've managed to get Sky News, E4, TV Travelshop in perfect viewing pleasure. Not one bit of scrambled vision on there. The rest of the channels are what I can say is like the worst sort of tracking you can get on a VCR. You can make out some of what your seeing but it's a mess on screen, sometimes you get sound, sometimes you don't.

So what 's all of this in relation to Plus. Well it seems from what I can make out on screen. It appears Plus is still on although it's frozen on screen. It seems it's probably the last frame of vision before the station was pulled. Also on screen is NTL's little engineering EPG which says sommat like "Channel : Plus - Picture : Failed - Sound : Failed"

I doubt we will get ITV 3 here. The last channel that we got was News 24 a year after launch. As for E4, despite it being on there. NTL are convinced that Milton Keynes does not have E4 and as NTL do not want to pay out the money for digital television in an area such as Milton Keynes (crazy) we keep getting promos through the door telling us of exciting new programmes coming on digital tv.... Erm, wrong target audience love.
