Goodbye Granada Plus

It is still there, going no problem, though ITV are putting it under review, whether it would be worth closing, but it is more likely that the channel will get sold off, my money is on BSkyB buying it up.

Well GSkyB is all over now, after 8 years and personally I would never have guessed that Men and Motors would be the last channel remaining! Personally I hope M&M doesn't disappear, as it has a respectable daytime line-up, I personally like all the crimefighters style shows and I know a few people who enjoy the programmes on bikes and cars and what have you. And it is the only channel to provide T&A (is putting it simple ) every night.

ITV axing Granada Plus just like that shows that ITV have no respect for the viewers who have watched Granada Plus for 8 years, not to mention the staff who worked there.

I've read the topic wrong, UKTV G2 is just closing down at an earlier time. I thought it was going to be ceased!

Not yet but I heard today that it's been given 90 days to find a buyer or close. So I guess it has 3 months left - It could close end of January 2005.

From what I've heard:
Granada Plus closed during the adverts around 4pm,a few old ITV programmes will probably be broadcasted on ITV but what about the
Brittas Empire and the Two Ronnies? They're ex-BBC.

BRING BACK PLUS OR BBC START A CLASSICS CHANNEL!!

Is it not feasible that these ex BBC programmes are in the Granada archive library now, so could in theory appear on ITV3 ?

Bravo shows The Brittas Empire and UK Gold will probably start showing The Two Ronnies again now Plus has closed, as they used to both show it at the same time not that long ago

So you could say if there's no buyer. Then it could go tits up which on M&M, it could be a normal thing!
