I remember watching the launch of Channel 5 n March 1997, with the Spice girls singing '5,4,3,2,1' - and then Tim 'I'm so gormless' Vine and Julia 'hasbeen' Bradbury.
Does anyone have the AUDIO of the C5 launch?
Family Affairs used to be good then, but these days its nearly overtaken Eastenders with its doom and gloom!
I remember the launch. I did have it on tape until the player became hungry and had it for dinner.
I was out the country at the time and so got a mate to tape it. Sadly, he forgot until 15 minutes in. Sort of took the point away from capturing the 'launch'!
The 'People Versus' is back on Monday week at 530pm
Oh dear, the quiz with more rules than questions. They should have realised that the success of Millionaire was it's simplicity, this was far too complicated (even for my vast brain). Surely this will be a repeat, why would they have a million pound quiz game on at 5:30pm in the time slot reserved for C5 low budget gameshows like One to Win.
Yes the Jack Docherty Show was very good when it first started, but the show had so many re-designs. Firstly there was the wooden desk with the yellowy coloured background, then the blue desk with the brick wall behind, then they brought the leather sofas in. By that time I had lost interest, as the show was filled with D listed celebrities anyway. Then C5 went and gave Melinda Messenger a chat show...... don't set me off I'm starting to sound like Parky.
