Look at this picture of BBC News 24 this morning, and spot what's missing:

Now I wasn't expecting that till tomorrow! Anyone see it disappear?

Hoorah.. I never liked it stuck there in the first place. It should have gone under the BBC NEWS 24 DOG, or under the clock in it's own block graphic.

Presumably this is for BBC News interactive, and the 'press red' on screen icon would no doubt cover it up..?

That's the graphic I meant in my first posting, BTW not the on screen reporter (who seems to be doing a very credible impression of Nicky Shiller!)

I suppose we are talking about the 'www.bbc.co.uk' dog which sat in the right hand corner? I reckon it could be either one of two things:

A) Technical problems are occuring
B) It has been taken away to make way for the Interactive service 'press red'.

We'll soon see! Very Happy No doubt forum members will certainly get my comments when something takes its place!

The web dog must have gone to allow the 'i Press Red' logo to be put top-right I would imagine.

Unfortunately it is not possible to design an 'i Press Red' logo which will align neatly with part of the picture on 16:9 transmissions.

This is because the channel can be viewed in a number of different ways, depending on whether you are a 4:3 centre cut, 4:3 letterbox or 16:9 viewer. However the 'press red' logo will always be added by the set top box in the same place relative to the edges of the TV screen - and so over a different bit of the actual picture...

Umm, Nick - is the blue blob on your tie part of the design, or is some futuristic new tie-mike the lads in the technical innovations unit have thought up..?

Don't suppose anyone knows what time this Interactive service starts... wondering if its worth me staying up till midnight to have a look or just to investigate it from breakfast tomorrow morning.

Presumably test bulletins have been running for the past month or so?
