I turned on admittedly late as it's bank holiday wanting to catch up on the European election news, but was mainly faced by stampy & squid in what reminded me a bit of the live & kicking hot seat.
They also had some different person doing entertainment news and had a lot of Andi time where he should have been kept in London and covered entertainment news and used more time on the election results.

After years of watching itv breakfast through it's various guises I had to put on Breakfast.

Ben was covering the sports news today. He also did the links to the local news from the sofa area and infront of the "windows" from the desk.

What was John doing then?

John was doing some of the news stories, like Charlotte/ Kate/ Ranvir would normally do.

So you are saying you had to turn to a news programme for news?

What I'm saying is that I had to turn away from a programme that was advertised as bringing the news every morning with the election trailer. Admittedly it was most probably because I watched later in the programme with it being a bank holiday.

The was the first time that I had seen the end of the programme since the first edition, and I don't like the cut over to Lorraine. They are now more seperate programmes than ever before, and it doesn't make sense. You wouldn't see This Morning ending by handing to the loose women.

I still don't understand why they can't extend the main Good Morning Britain show when Lorraine's away. They can still do the light stuff that she does after 8.30.

Or they can replace her show with a Citv block between 8.30&9.25.

Why replace her show with something that will rate lower? GMB probably would, and CITV definitely would.

If the resources are there, which they clearly are, they should be taking advantage of them.

When all the kids have gone to school or pre school.
