I saw a very dimly lit, vaguely PSA style scare trail last night - "do you know who your child is speaking to online, Good Morning Britain investigates".

It was so mid-2000s GMTV it hurt. And hardly an enticing proposition for a breakfast show.

I caught the TOTH at 8am today and this was the lead story. Again, not a story anywhere else and was based "our researcher posing as a 14 year old girl on a chatroom". They also had 'banter' over some survey that claimed Brits don't hoover often enough or change their duvets.

I thought they were meant to be appealing to mums, not telling them how bad they are at being mums.

Plus, do kids even use 'chatrooms' these days? Ain't it all apps and tumblr and that?

It's not as if the story is anything new, the vast majority of people are aware chat rooms are dangerous without GMB reaffirming this.

Indeed, you could just imagine it in the context of one of those GMTV trailers that used to air, I wish they wouldn't do these sorts of scaremongering stories.

Ranvir has just called Charlotte 'Susanna'. They all still don't know who each other are?

On the regions handover, in Meridian, after the sting, Ben started talking about what is coming up and then handed to Amanda Piper

Yes, that was rather long-winded.

The word "chatroom" is basically typical middle aged person trying to get down with the kids. I don't think everyone used chatrooms even when they were more popular, they'd probably call this forum a chat room.

I didn't see the point of Sue Jameson giving comment on the UKip interview twice during the show. Why couldn't Suzanna or someone else give comment on what he said during the interview?

I did think it was quite ironic to have Charlotte, who actually did the interview, throwing to Sue on College Green to ask what Nigel Farage had said, to her, in the studio.

Although, to be fair, it's no worse than when the Today programme interview a politician and then get Nick Robinson to sum up what they said immediately afterwards.

The image on the screens behind the sofa area shake and wobble and it's very distracting.

And that centre screen behind the desk is STILL off-colour.
