I used to think this when she was on BBC Breakfast, as she's apologised in the past when there isn't really any need to: http://youtu.be/d8Yz3aHjjng?t=36s.
I really like the idea of the guest sitting with the presenters through a majority of the show (say at least an hour) to react to the items, One Show style.
No I'd hate that, it'd be like Loose Women or as you say The One Show, where you get cringe moments every night, as celebs who are only there to plug their book have to be interested in a film about traction engines.

Whoopi Goldberg having a long debate about motor tax with Dom Littlewood on the One show, remains one of my favourite tv moments ever.

I suppose the problem that GMB has is that it has to put the entertainment news and guests before 8:30 where as breakfast and the US shows put it in later in the programme.
I've often thought that they need to extend GMB. I know Lorriane does well ratings wise but I can't help but think it's stifling GMB from being able to do more entertainment and light stuff after 8:30 like Breakfast. I'd move Lorriane to lunchtime or the afternoons and let GMB do more and also inherit the Lorriane audience which should help its performance overall.

Yes it's why I think Lorraine shouldve just hosted the last hour of GMB rather than a stand alone show.
GMB like it's predecessors are always limited for time especially when you take into account the advert breaks, inane competition slots, Regional news opt outs which all adds up within two and half hours. I agree Breakfast and Sunrise have the advantage of finishing later in the morning so interviews are generally longer.
Although many will disagree it has been great to see Ranvir and Kate back presenting GMB. Whatever you think of them they did give the team some energy and chemistry. I would like to see both cover the Lead Presenter role as they are both more than capable. It was also great to see John back as well. Like others have said he does fit in with the new format and brings the show some much needed gravitas. Looking ahead this year to the Scottish independence referendum and general election next year I personally think John should lead the coverage like he did at GMTV with the likes of Ben, Charlotte, Kate and Ranvir going around the country at key locations. Definitely think it would give a boost to the credibility of GMB.
Also, as others have said it was good to see Sean on the sofa actually doing an interview for a change.

That's what I've been saying. Yes, Lorraine rates better but there are about a million more people watching TV after 8.30am - I guess an older audience and also people coming back from the school run. I really don't think GMB would do any worse in the hour, while moving Lorraine to 1pm (news to 12.30pm) solves the issue with Loose Women, which has been under performing for a couple of years now. Even if both didn't quite deliver in the ratings surely producing two shows rather than three allows for a slight dip.

No no no no no no no no no no no.
Very constructive response. Care to elaborate?
Well most of the items are news stories, leading into news reports, unlike the magazine style One Show which mainly features light hearted items, and some heavier human interest stories, but not news reports like a murderer on the loose in Southport. So they would be sitting there with not much to say or react to, as it would be cringey asking a comedian or some actor for their opinions on the crisis in Ukraine.
Of course there would be some form of procedure for more serious news events if the guest was inappropriate. I think having a guest for 5 minutes is a waste and they could make far more use of them, even if just to do a paper review.
