Watching today's 'Lorraine' makes me think the current logo was introduced in 2013 was to allow the longer feature strands continuity for when the show was relaunched, as most strand animations do have the show logo in them.
I don't understand what you're saying.
Graphics are created for strands to display on screens and create stings etc.
Strands
, such as the High Street Fashion Awards, were launched before the relaunch, meaning that if the previous logo had have been kept until April 2014, there would have been no continuity as the Lorraine logo appears in the majority of graphics for strands.
My thinking is that the current logo was introduced 'out of the blue' to keep the continuity going.
After the disposal of Daybreak and launch of Good Morning Britain, they wanted to ensure some form of continuity with Lorraine's show by retaining the current logo.
I think DS quoted 600,000 for Tuesday last week. I'm sure I read a post about the figures being messed up because of +1, or something along those lines.
The tweaks are definitely making it more watchable. Richard Arnold is somehow becoming more palatable and I've not seen Ross King in front of that bloody Hollywood sign recently too (just heard him oov on a report yesterday).
I think they need to define the presenter riles a bit though. It's clear that Charlotte is pretty much the news reader and Sean is the sport guy, so why not make more of that like the American shows it's modelled on?
Looking at the Facebook page, the amount of negativity has decreased a lot.
