Maybe it was technical issue earlier.

Perhaps it was dropped in some regions but not all, hence the dodgy end in Meridian? Did your regional bulletin transition back smoothly?

Is it not the region who has the clip of Ben and all they have to do is play it out? I assume the opt starts after the sting.

UTV didnt get Ben's intro today at all, would it be anything to do with the fact that UTV are using a different regional presenter today compared to the rest of the week?

I watched 6am until about 6:40am this morning and thought it was rather good, considering I normally watch Breakfast. Does GMB have any ad breaks in it? I didn't see any whilst I was watching it. I assume other regions see the cue dots prior to the pre-recorded handover for the regional news.

My only criticism would be the website/hashtag graphic, which currently alternates about every 5 seconds. I find that a bit distracting and I'm sure it could be slowed to every 10 seconds.

I've been watching it between 7 and 8 mostly this week, but on Monday the first break wasn't until around 6.50am.

Caught the last 40 minutes this morning, aside Jonathan Ross crashing onto the set it was strongly lead by News, which was good to see.

The opt to the regions happens straight after the sting, as there was a glitch in the north west and a flash frame of black before Ben appeared. His regional intros are still no less awkward.

The new weather graphic that doesn't 'pop in and out' every few seconds is a massive improvement. I wish they'd do the same with the 'hashtag' graphic which pops in and out of the logo every few seconds. A simple, gentle fade would be much less distracting.

It's all the more frustrating because there's actually enough room next to the clock and logo to have both the website and the hashtag.

Also, from a social networking point of view it's a misuse of #GMB to display it throughout the programme. They should be putting it on screen during moments within the programme that it is likely to trend. They should promote @GMB instead.

Steve Allen on LBC this morning was giving Suzanna a good old slagging off for 10 minutes "you're not a good presenter love" I turned my alarm off afterwards.

Not good news today, 640,000 for yesterday's ratings.

I mean, I was expecting them to drop to about 600,000 on day two but still disappointing to see a decline.

Doesn't he do that for everyone though?

Yep - let's just hope ITV are as committed to 'building a strong breakfast brand going forward' as they claim to be.

As much as I'm enjoying the programme, a few minor alarm bells are ringing in terms of the all-important content. Andi's wheel notwithstanding, the first few days of the show have included some very Daybreak-esque items, including 'Britain's biggest family' and some monosyllabic children on the sofa. And I'm surprised that they haven't managed to bring in a couple of big-name, agenda setting interviews - the biggest guests so far have been ITV presenters.

Just makes me wonder if, once again, the (albeit huge) cosmetic changes aren't being backed up with enough change behind the scenes.

Hope I'm wrong, though...

Yes, the introduction is the first item in the opt out - it'll be played out the same as any bit of ' VT' in the bulletin. Presumably if the region doesn't have the intro they just start without it and have another few seconds to play with

They weren't expecting massive ratings first of all, surely? Hopefully by now they'll realise that they need to let the show develop into what it's going to be, making no format changes, tweaks if needed. As a few have said, by the winter i hope they're not tempted to throw cushions around the set, with ornaments and a red sofa.
