What actually is the umbrella icon meant to represent with a percentage?

Chance of rain?

Yep, chance of rain. The more open the umbrella is, the more likelihood it'll rain. Quite handy, and clever, but its not been explained so I doubt many people know...

I would strongly disagree about Entertainment being scrapped. It is like saying sport should be scrapped because not everyone likes sport. Believe it or not, but people like to wake up knowing what has happened in the "world of entertainment and showbiz" and GMB probably does pull in viewers for the fact it is the only breakfast show with a regular entertainment slot. That said, I think it needs to be restricted, maybe a good 5 minute "bulletin" at 10 past 8?

Granada again playing Ben's intro from the point at which he starts counting the gap from the previous region intro!

Looks like the graphics failed on the 8am titles. No transitions or wipes either or date at the start of the titles.

It does seem more settled this morning. Ben talks far too fast though.

Something went wrong on the 7am headlines too. Half of the headline straps had an odd 'flashing images' text on them, in what seemed to be the wrong place. It certainly looked like a glitch and there were no flashing images.

It said flashing images on the 6am TOTH i believe. Also, there was no proper close to the show today.

They didn't give GMB a proper close like yesterday they just crossed straight to Lorraine, that was the one thing I hated about Daybreak.

Let's hope the graphical bugs are all fixed for tomorrow's programme.

I don't think the pace is past at all, its nice and consistent. Anyone who thinks its too fast needs to question why they can't keep up! Cool Razz

I watched yesterday and today and I have to say I like the pace of the show but there was too much on George Clooney yesterday (which was really old news having broken on the weekend) and this morning the amount and prominence of the Robbie story was off putting.

Also Dr Hilary standing up to be interviewed was just odd, he felt like a spare part.

In summary I think the show has real potential but they have to get the showbiz balance right if they are going to be taken seriously as a news programme. On that note the Wheel of Cash needs to go and there's no point in having a guest on for two minutes at 8:27 especially if it's just to promote an ITV show.
