It seems like all other attempts that bar the big desk it's back to being GMTV/TVam again.

Yep, totally reverted back to the GMTV/Daybreak v2.0 format. Susanna even tweeted tonight, "tomorrow on GMB, all your news with Charlotte". It is such a shame that once again they did not stick with a new format and ride-out the poor ratings and give it time to build, like they said they would.

So they're handing over to the news and back to the presenters in the same way they did with Penny on GMTV and Ranvir on Daybreak. ITV Breakfast have given up again!

Really? They make a small change to the way they hand over to the main news bulletin, and you suggest they've given up?

Get a grip, man!

The weather graphic appeared for a second on today's programme before a warning symbol came on over it and left the screen blank.

I quite liked the graphic for an the fly if you didn't catch the full forecast, but they must feel that it is unnecessary.

I wouldn't say they've given up, but they have clearly reverted back to a Daybreak/ GMTV showbiz obsessed format. Which is a shame really as they pushed the show as ' something different'.
From a tv geek point of view, they've ditched the fancy camera shots, nice graphics and dynamic presentation style.
And there's something about Susanna i just don't like, she's still far too smug etc.
But i don't know what i expected really as we all knew they would revert back to showbiz crap. The format of launch day and the surrownding months i felt could have been a real winner if the had stuck with it.

Right, well I said I would revisit this topic at Christmas having been chastised for not giving the programme enough time, and I retuned in to GMB the other day to see that things are no better, perhaps worse.

Firstly, it's wrong to suggest that 'reverting back to showbiz crap' is falling back on the GMTV ideal. GMTV had its fair share of showbiz coverage but this was far better balanced than some remember here.

The difference is, GMB seems to stretch every item out for longer than it needs to be. When one sentence would suffice, they'll use five. The morning audience has neither the time nor patience to wait for a point to be made when it's already obvious to begin with. It makes the content seem limp and boring, no matter what it entails.

Putting content to one side, there is no real warmth in the presenting team STILL after all this time, and the initial promise of how well they had gelled together prior to the show starting.

There's something that feels really inhuman about them. GMTV was at its strongest when its presenters had a bit of a moan about something and a real discussion, where you really felt they cared. Eamonn and Fiona were great at embracing this. But once Eamonn quit, Fiona was left with Ben, who would just giggle when she started waging war on slippers, or anything else, and try to get on with the show. Which was fine, but now GMB has 4 Ben Shepherds presenting, with no real point of view, and it all feels rather bland. Any conversation feels forced, because there's no real feeling behind it.

The whole thing just sucks really, and no matter how many people on here say 'give it time', breakfast TV is not really something that takes a year to 'bed in'.

If thats the case maybe there should bring back Ann Diamond. One has to wonder how John Stapleton has gone do down hill?

Watching the Christmas promo "Alarm clocks" sums it up really, all forced and no realness. I think the line in Ab Fab used for GMTV is more suited to GMB "If GMB were marketed in pill form, Switzerland would go bankrupt". They tart up showbiz rubbish as "real news". I'm staying with BBC Breakfast Sad

They've changed the background on the screens to a more wintery version. Well, they've removed the sun and bright sky.

Pip Tomson filled in for Laura on the 6:15 forecast today, as Laura was due to do an OB in Essex but the OB van was malfunctioning. Good to see Philippa back on screen.

The turnaround was quite quick as Laura was back in the studio for the Weather at 6.45.

I noticed this too. It's now a winter mid morning look.

8am TOTH went wrong, sort of. The ITV bumper ran and the camera wasn't ready for the pan, and then the final bit of the bed faded out and faded in again, then the vision mixed to the jib camera and the titles ran. After the titles, the jib move was successful but then the vision was mixed to the wrong camera.

Also this morning, they've been coming back from the BOTH regional news early and have had a school choir singing. When the clock hit 8am though, I got a bit of picture breakup, don't know if it is related to the other problems.
