Good Morning Britain is closing its New York office, with the producer who's based there moving to LA.

I'm not sure that this will make a great deal of difference to the running order - I can't remember seeing much on the show that's likely to have come out of New York.

Personally think this is a bad idea, I'd rather they closed the LA office Wink but it's been on the cards a while since they've not had a 'US correspondent ' since lucy Watson left.

I believe this was played yesterday when returning from break.

They have also seemed to have dropped the weather ticker, but I don't think they thought about the contact graphic:

Same happens with the 'Earlier on GMB', they just float which looks rather odd.

There are plans to broadcast Good Morning Britain in ultra HD / 4K according to this tweet:

EDIT: The 4K comment almost certainly refers merely to the five-minute video, though, not the whole daily show, now I think about it... Sorry, folks.

Why would they record christmas episodes? It's clearly an interview that will be shown in a few weeks.

Why would they not? I highly doubt GMB will be live anytime between Christmas and Jan 3rd, maybe 27th-30th but I highly doubt that.

It's a live breakfast show, they obviously wouldn't pre record shows for Christmas.

Perhaps they could predict the future news for Christmas Day?
