Getting the regions to look somewhat similar to the main show should be higher on the list of priorities IMO.

Actually, i think the regions should keep their ITV news branding. When they try to match the graphics of the breakfast show it always seems to look horrible. Infact, didn't the ITV regions carry with their own branding last year?

The regions don't have a on screen clock though, do they?

Apart from STV which seem to use GMB graphics which look to have been made by STV themselves...

Oh god, lets not start about STV's graphics...!

I don't understand why the regions, who use a regionalised version of the national news graphics, can't have the GMB graphics loaded onto their vision mixer in the same way?

I assume the graphics are just a transparent overlay?

Anyone got a screenshot of STV's graphics?

ITV's flagship breakfast show Daybreak re-launched in September 2012 with new presenters, new graphics and a new set designed by BDA. The set design comprised a lounge space backed by six 103" plasma screens in place of windows. Lightwell were commissioned to prepare the world outside of the windows. Working with BDA through the summer of 2012, we developed a design for an exterior courtyard space overlaid with shade from surrounding trees. The looping animation of this scene plays in the plasma screen windows for the duration of the broadcast.

Adding news and weather, that would be 8. Any idea where the six went? News and weather went to the GMB window and interview area, what about the rest? Lorraine doesn't have a 103" screen, neither does This Morning or Loose Women.

STV's graphics for GMB is about as good as a 3 year old's drawing: they've tried but not really worthy of a spot on the fridge nevermind national television!

From memory there were only 3 103" screens behind the right side of the sofa as you looked at it (the guest side) with the screens behind the presenter and to the left of the sofa being smaller screens.

Maybe this included the news and weather screens, or just an incorrect number.

I think they made a mistake, as there were only 3 103" screens. At least 1 of the smaller 'window' screens are now the weather screen flipped on the side. Not sure about the others.

Looks a hell of a lot better than the old Daybreak set up.
