I may expect a bit of Christmas music, the Today show, a show that GMB has drawn inspiration from, had a Christmas variation of their theme. That was just bells playing along with the melody of the theme, and harder hits at the big drum beats. A GMB Christmas theme would sound quite good IMO.

It's a live 3 and a half hour broadcast, there are sure to be a few technical problems. The titles played without the voice over, oh the humanity. I'm not sure christmas titles could or would be done. Have some common sense. The titles are the London skyline and the itv tower, not sure how festive you could get. Erm how about tinsel graphics instead of the normal graphics. Rolling Eyes also, there's probably very little chance of them introducing dawn titles and background, they won't want slated for dark backgrounds etc.

I think they could make the background and titles a little closer to dawn than the 6am opening, whilst keeping them light enough.

As for Christmas, I doubt we'll see any difference for titles as neither versions of Daybreak did anything, but after the entertainment and football remixes of the tune they may do a Christmas version that could be used as a coming up be into the breaks.

Who says the Christmas titles would use the exact same footage as the normal titles? Neither GMTV or Daybreak did that.

Technically not Christmas titles as they continued throughout January (and into February?). In fact didn't these launch on that day with the yellow logo?

They did launch on this day, fanoftv. The yellow logo, those titles and the Kate/Dan full-time pairing began on 3rd January 2012.

I haven't seen this over the shoulder graphic before, it was used for a piece of breaking news that just came in:

I seen this the other day too, although I think it's the default image for the graphic ( could be wrong)

It looks like a generic placeholder.

It was used when announcing breaking news during the news stories. Obviously there were no graphics prepared as it was breaking and they used this to keep the shot correct and balanced.

The story about Ched Evands has been reported this morning but not introduced by Sean even though it's associated to sport. He's becoming a bit of a spare part at the moment when he could be used so much more.
