They are really pushing it. Lots of trails in saturday peak time.

I'm sure when the live shows start on X Factor they'll be pushing GMB a lot more by promoting the fact the contestant leaving the show will be on Mondays GMB. Good ploy to promote it when ITV has its biggest audience.

They did this with Daybreak in 2010 and it seemed to have zero effect. And that was The X Factor's most successful year to date!

Charlotte, Ben, Sean and Ranvir anchoring in the studio, with John in Westminster anchoring the story on the motion for airstrikes.

Edit: Read on Twitter that Kate is in Venice for George Clooney's wedding...

Laura has been doing her TOTH weather preview at one of the portrait monitors, surely for a country shaped like the UK, a portrait monitor would be better for weather?

I wouldn't have thought it matters to be honest - you can only show the height of the monitor on camera anyway - so rather than an expanse of sea and a bit of Europe, you're just seeing the set behind - the map is still the same size ultimately.

Kate was operating a Hub type set-up at the screen of the 'interview area' this morning, reading out viewer feedback of the 'Misbehaving School-Children' story. I know that with many people This Morning's Hub wasn't popular, although I think it would have worked quite nicely with GMB.

I'm surprised we haven't seen this sooner really. It's an easy way to fill time - although GMB don't seem to have had a problem with that anyway.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see something resembling NBC Today Show's "Orange Room" at some point - just using the setup that GMB already have.

Nick Dixon has been filing more and more items for the website, and he does Instagram weather summaries if he is on an OB with Laura, along with techie stuff. I don't know if this is just a personal preference of his, or the assignment desk's or whether it is part of something bigger...

No source - if true, wow! I though the field was way behind her.

Sorry, forgot to mention that it was announced by the continuity presenter (if that's what they're called) before tonight's NaT.

Very interesting, again, I thought the field was way past her. If I'm honest, I'd rather have John Stapleton in Afghanistan, the last time he was there, he was brilliant! The below clip shows that, the way he introduces the programme is enough evidence IMO. Kate Garraway, in a news role, no giggling?!?! Yes it is possible TV Forum, get over it.
