Yes GMB's ratings aim Friday were not as high as the Beeb and nobody thought any different! However between 6 and 7 GMB got a higher audience than normal and hit 900k viewers at 7:15 which is an increase and ratings were slightly stronger during Lorraine's spot than what they have been recently.

Was the share higher or just the volume? On a busy news day you'd expect more people in total to watch a news show. The question is were the extra viewers shared equally or did GMB gain more, or did Breakfast gain more. Share will answer that question.

Gmb had a 14% share on Friday down from 15% the previous Friday. Breakfast had a 39.5% share on Friday, up 4 share points from the previous week.

Also bare in mind GMB was put across 4 hours and not the usual 2 and a half.

Yes - it replaced programmes that would normally rate higher (Lorraine and Jeremy Kyle) than GMB.

The 14% share was the same between 6-8.30 as 6.00-10. Down on the 15% GMB got the previous week.
Breakfast's slot was up 4 share points week on week to nearly 40%.

I also seen an advertisement at the start of a video on the Daily Mail website.

It carries the promo "try something different" a request for breakfast viewers?

What ever that means, I don't know.

I think it was meant to say "It carries the promo 'try something different'. A request for Breakfast viewers?". So ITV might be aiming this ad specifically at them.

They seem to be promoting the show quite a bit at the moment. I'm always getting ads for GMB appearing on YouTube at the top of search results.
