Looks like Good Morning Britain is extended to 10am on the 19th, special on the Scottish referendum. This Morning starts at 10am.


Do you mean 18th? The referendum is on the 18th?

When I had met Sean back in August he suggested that the show might actually send two presenters (say Ben and Susanna) up here. Very interesting and nice that they are willing to extend the show to 10.

GMB is on until 10am on Friday the 19th, and only until the usual time of 8.30am on Thursday the 18th.

I hope that you mean a Yes campaign disaster and one that seals Scotland staying in the Union #BetterTogether #NoThanks sorry, independence seems to set me off. I see why it makes sense to have the show longer on the Friday.

I wonder if the show does well on the Friday in question if they'll consider extending it, even just on a Friday, because as far as I'm aware Lorraine is still pre-recorded on a Friday they might decide to cut her to a 4 shows a week and just have GMB run longer?

I've just checked and you're right. As important as it is for the rest of the UK it's obviously more important for Scotland so why is GMB extended if they aren't covering Scotland? Just seems weird to me that they are extending the show because of the referendum but because of STV we won't see it.

Because the referendum affects the entire country, but there will be wildly differing stories to tell in Scotland/rUK.
