What I mean is, I see the 6am open on the ITV website before 6am, all I want is a little help to make me understand, yet all I get is sarcastic comments.

The text headlines are posted online before the show begins, and once the show starts then a video of the live 6am is posted on the page but the 'time updated' doesn't seem to change and shows the original time the post was posted.

Got it, thank you.

Ranvir in the main chair today, where she should be IMO.

AAAAAAND...they let Laura sit at the desk today, albeit only for the pan coming out of the break.

No one in Charlottes chair, was Sean in?

Mod Edit: User was warned for this post, this is exactly the sort of post that either shouldn't be made, or should be in a dedicated rota thread. It adds nothing of interest for any other users.

Ben did the TOTH headlines though I thought Ranvir really should've done.

Not a journalist though

Headlines dont require a journalist, let alone as TOTH sequence. Moira Stuart wasn't one and she read the news for years!

Is the fact Laura Tobin was 'allowed' to sit at the desk interesting, or is it verging on some weird chair rota? The latter, I think.

Nah, seems stupid that when there are 3 people are the desk, Laura still has to stand looking a a little loner in the playground, it is the same on the BBC regions that still have old style sets, their weather presenter almost never goes onto the rostrum.

Although they did let her sit for the little intro before the weather sting a week or two ago.

In other news, they did a talk to jib piece today. It fitted in a lot more than the 'jib pushing between two ped cameras' shot that they always use.

You make it sound like some sort of altar, with pseudo-religious implications and importance.

The desk is on a dais because it provides a better eye line for the cameras/camera operators when people are sat down: either on a sofa or at a desk. It's not supposed to represent some sort of hierarchy.

Perhaps the only reason GMB don't use something similar for the sofa/two-headed interview areas is because they would restrict the movement of the camera peds when trying to get shots of the main presentation desk.
