Maybe the jib operator wasn't aware of the graphics problem, it was probably just in-position for their que. The titles were replaced by the jib shot rather than the frozen image of the last headline.

Why didn't they say "we're having some technical difficulties." The whole thing just seemed odd especially hearing the guy from the intro yet not seeing it.

On a side note, (a little) interesting to see a UTV DOG on the output. Usually both UTV and STV take the ITV-branded SD feed for TX - including on their HD channels. Is the programme finally being transmitted in HD in both regions?

I agree, the presenters didn't seem to know that anything had gone wrong. Maybe it was just ITV Player tho, but Im not sure.

It's a recording from UTV Player I'd imagine, which carries the DOG.

Yes, I quickly grabbed it from UTV player as it has no adverts

I looked like every morning on ITV Player GMB live graphics were there and everything was normal!

Nope, its a grab from UTV Player. Still SD in STV and UTV.

What I have done is made a comparison of yesterdays open, the way it happened on the left and the way it should have went on the right.



Also, todays episode went straight into the top story, there was no quick look at the weather with Laura.

However, shouldn't the title sequence be the one for 'sunrise' rather than 7am. AIUI they use different ones, but perhaps not at the height of summer when dawn is before 5am. It has different colours on the ITV logo and 'expanding rings'.

Yeah it should have been but I didn't have the 6am open with the correct date. If I wanted to change it, it probably would of looked messy.
