Same team as yesterday - the 3 + Sean in Glasgow - great handling of interviews, nice chemistry overal very good presentation IMO.

Ranvir was reporting some news just in about fuel bills, but the OTS had the ITV Sports logo, prsumably it replaced the sport healdine.

Also, Philippa Tomson was credited as US Correspondent, don't know if it is premanent or not.

EDIT: Coming out of Philippa's VT, John and Ranvir were talking about what they thought, then handed over to Charlotte at the weather screen for a standup shot for the Gaza story.

Normally, a 'what's coming up on Lorraine' happens at around 8:15 when they throw over to the presenter but just now it happened at 7:57 instead. Not sure what the reason for this was.

Same yesterday I'm sure as I was confused by it too.

I have never hated the "news where you are" crossover more. Four times I have heard John say the same joke - that was barely funny the first time - whilst crossing to Kelly Ann Woodland for the STV News. He claims that Kelly Ann is "no doubt loving the commonwealth victory" and then smirks, each time she has replied in annoying fashion. It was nice once but after that just John saying now STV News... and her saying thanks would be acceptable.

How many regional areas are there? That must be a pain for the presenter to have to record a new crossover video for each region each day. Surely, "now the news where you are" would be fine?

There are 14 regions i believe. Some of the English bulletins split into two halves as they are large reasons, i've been told.

Nearly accidentally ran the Lorraine sting there.

Yes that was weird, I don't know how they managed that. It just showed a still image of the start of the sting with the GMB bed.

Not that difficult if I've understood you correctly, vision mixer cuts to the wrong source which has the Lorraine sting cued up, while the sound mixer takes the correct source.

I was thinking the same but couldn't they of quickly aired the correct one, I would imagine that would be in the cue. Unless they thought it was just best to stay with the sting and not have it quickly cut to a studio shot or whatever.
