Seems an odd tagline when they don't have a 24 hour news channel. Do they still do the updates overnight?

If I remember correctly, I remember someone saying on this forum that there isn't overnight updates, but a presenter is available to go on air if needed overnight.

I presume that tagline is referance to there being a team in for GMB throught the day and night, and they are monitoring the days news 24/7, and that the presenters just don't turn up and go to the studio, making it look like they care and are passionate about the content of the show, which presumably they do. That's what i got from the ad.

It's an advert for GMB I'm assuming and not the wider ITV News, surely it's them highlighting the fact they bring you the news that has become apparent during the early hours.

Now that you mention, it is odd that they haven't done a combined prom given that GMB is said to be so 'news driven' and integrated with ITV News.

Would that turn away the GMTV audience?

Sean will be in Glasgow for the commonwealth games this week according to twitter. Full coverage begins on Tuesday. Take a selfie with him and the best one wins a GMB mug apparently....

I've just seen the "because news doesn't sleep" advert on ITV and noticed one of the presenters using an Absolut Vodka pen - It's even a close up shot of the pen writing on paper.

I know it's like 4am, but that's no time for vodka guys

I noticed that too, and thought it was an odd choice to include in the promo.

Philippa Tomson back on screen as a correspondent in New York, smart choice. Surprised she didn't sub on Daybreak given that she was the World News anchor as Sky.

Philippa is excellent, I've never understood why she hasn't landed a main presenters role.

I thought she was poor on Sky News. And she did not suit Weathergirl at NET & Lookaround.

She's a tad generic. She may look like a Fox News presenter, but didn't appear to gel with the Sky News format.

I think she's freelance as she also reports for ITV News London.
