Why does a This Morning video have Good Morning Britain intro?

An innocent mistake, I presume.

I really don't think it would have been done in one session, if so his voice will start sounding very tired very soon due to him repeating the same line so many times.
It is like the Good Morning America one, the voiceover is recorded and amended when needed, for example when anchors are on location or there is a special edition of the programme. The old ITV News voiceover showed exactly why it was a mistake to record them in bulk.
Actually, James Faulkner came back a few times to record updates to the ITV News voiceovers. He did all the main ones in bulk at the start (constantly repeating "This is the ITV News..." so each name sounded correct, together with 'up' and 'down' variations) but came back in May 2010 to record some new names as well as World Cup and Election Special voiceovers. He also did a lot of general location ones which were rarely (if ever?) used. I think the reason updates have become more prevalent with Gayane is because she has a home studio and can record them with ease. With James Faulkner it was probably just too much hassle to keep getting him back to ITN and for the sound engineers to constantly have to edit waveforms every time they wanted a location. Now Gayanne can do them quickly and easily and they sound much more natural.

Clearly its all recorded in one session with a consistent tone of voice, it would make no sense paying for a session per week. How do you think the automated train announcements are done.

You can clearly hear on that video the difference in levels between July and 2014 - which would throw more weight behind the idea they're edited together.

I switched over to Breakfast very briefly. But Breakfast were talking about FGM - so I switched over to GMB. I feel passionately about what a heinous crime FGM is - but I think a report like that is far too heavy for the morning. I saw the same report on News at Ten the night before - that was fine. But they went into unnecessary detail and I'll tell you - I'm glad I stuck with GMB because it was great all morning.
By the way - I found out today that my friend knows Richard Gaisford!
I enjoyed it this morning, more than usual. I actually stayed watching it until going out, instead of switching over or off. It's improved a great deal.

When did he sit at the desk?
Hopefully we can have more of the sun and more outdoors in the coming weeks. I've really enjoyed Andi in the entertainment role this week, especially yesterday when he seemed to be pleased to finally be sat at the desk.

Certainly a good opening couple minutes to the show. Hopefully they'll be taking advantage of being able to go outdoors & the views relatively often over the summer (weather permitting).
