Any news on what the ratings are like? Considering there's no been reporting of ratings, it's probably safe to say that they're not at their lowest ever like when the press had a field day reporting Bank Holiday Monday's ratings.

Mon-Wed overnights were 0.5-0.6m level for GMB, with Breakfast 1.5-1.6m - so no real change.
Just as bad (if not worse) GMB's AI (which is the measurement for how liked and valued a show is by the audience who watch it) is the lowest of any show on BBC One, BBC Two, ITV, C4 or C5... Again - no real change from Daybreak (which usually featured in the lowest AIs as well). Breakfast has a significantly higher AI - though it isn't stellar (in comparison to landmark natural history or drama for instance).

Not surprising even if itv got all of bbc breakfast presenters the ratings would be the same. It's just the nature of it too many people don't have time that day to get the kids ready etc they just leave it on bbc one, I know my family do that.
But ITV must persist with it, they are many things not quite right but it's a case of persisting and patience really.

He's an insider from ITV, obviously he knows. He posted his statement to bring light to the fact, they done well.
