Kate Garraway is brilliant on GMB, as others have said, she brings fun to the programme, great chemistry with Ben and is different to Susanna, obviously. Although, recently i've been thinking that this could have been achieved with Kate, Ben ,Matt and Ranvir. Although, there might have been reasons unknown to us which prevented that, e.g chemistry.
OR Helen Warner was fixated on the untrue fact that Susanna would boost the ratings.
Matt Barbet, was great on Daybreak but it's clear he wasn't offered a position on the new show, in my eyes anyway.

Well the ratings are still in the doldrums. This week the overnights for GMB have been 0.5-0.6m compared to Breakfast's 1.5-1.6m.
Just as bad, GMB's AI (which is the system broadcasters use to measure how much an audience like and appreciate the show they are watching) is consistently the lowest of any programme on BBC One, BBC Two, ITV, Channel Four or Channel 5.
This means that the audience that ARE watching, don't think it's particularly great. (To be fair, Breakfast doesn't have stellar AIs - compared to shows like Springwatch which are very highly regarded by their audience - but Breakfast's are massively higher than GMB's)

I find this sad....I have stuck with GMB and i feel its not far away from being there.....a bit more serious news and less of the fluff and I think they might have cracked it....

I don't want to talk presenters too much, however a few weeks in now. I don't think it's a problem just having three presenters however it looks odd when they do a wide a shot if there a gap and they get anyone in to fill. Having Sean in Brazil and other on location presenting is important though so I'm not sure of a solution.
Also I'm not keen on Sean as main presenter. Sean makes an Sports reporter (like Dan was daybreak V1) but for me I'm really not warming to him at all! I can't help but think Matt Barbet would of been 10x better for this role, although it seems they wanted someone with a background in sports news. I also think Dan Lonb himself would of been much better than Sean in this role too.
Also picking up an earlier point, I do think they need for so many stand ins doesn't help this four person format. It's a new format, four people hasn't been done in the uk like Good Morning Britain are. Which I why I'd have initially got Ranvir to be a part of the 'main presenter' line so then 4/5 main presenters would appear each day. However I think Kate has proved to be the best 'stand in' and works really well in the format, her previous chemistry with Ben is something which is an asset also.

You can see it for yourself here: https://www.itv.com/itvplayer/good-morning-britain/series-1/episode-34
It's at the 37:35 mark. Kate got a mention of TV-am in there as well... Not Daybreak I noticed!

Agreed -Sussanna is like a spare part when Kate is on as her and Ben get on so well.
