I'm not really sold on it. The design or placement. There's a video mock in the Gallery section which looks much better I think?

How could they design something that sits so uncomfortably on screen? Surely how it functions on screen should be the top priority for a TV logo?

Based on the fact the aerial view of London used in the Good Morning London title is also in the main titles, I wonder if all the other regional location shots will form the main opening sequence?

Considering this soft launch was all seemingly quite discrete and under wraps - I think we've seen more snippets of info, pre 1st tx, than any launch I can remember.

Of course, just like it did Daybreak.

STV has broadcast in HD for almost 4 years, only it's not had a Sky or Freesat EPG position.

To be honest, I think that's probably what they had in mind as part of the soft launch - releasing snippets of information and images like the publicity shots, studio pictures, interviews with presenters and the unveiling of the logo and graphics trough various online media, social networking platforms and the regional ITV Twitter accounts etc.

It all helps build up publicity and a bit of excitement I guess.

Clock looks uncomfortable.

It would appear that's what will happen, if they're just substituting Good Morning for ITV News in the names. We'll know in a little over three hours.
