I bet they will get guest presenters to fill in, until they decide what to do permanently

Some of the guest hosts that have been out of favour in recent months such as Eamonn Holmes and Richard Madeley will probably get guest stints alongside Adil Ray and the usual line up.

Special weeks such as when Bill Turnbull hosted will probably be a feature as well.

Probably not Jeremy Kyle mind!

They’ll then get someone in full time starting in September

That’s my guess anyway

Now theres another option...if he's interested.

Would like to see Bill or Kate take the role.

Eamonn is a good idea, but not with Susanna.

It's actually a bit of a disaster for ITV to have him leave. It will be almost impossible to replace him. Those that liked him watched and those that hated him also appeared to watch. There is little reason to watch that show otherwise. If you want a normal Breakfast show BBC has that covered already.

I’d agree with that it’s curtains for GMB did expect Piers to leave at some point didn’t expect Alex Beresford a weather presenter to play a part in it though..

How about someone like Charlie Stayt? Obviously has history with Susanna, asks good questions and has the right amount of chemistry.

Hilarious that people on here first said no one will watch the interview, now they are declaring GMB dead in the water and its going to be cancelled. Geez. Calm down love.

On the plus side, ITV can finally get rid of Life Stories.

I think GMB can use this opportunity to reinvent itself, my issue with the show has been that it's not consistent tonally whereas BBC Breakfast is the same whether you watch with Dan and Louise or Charlie and Naga.

Into what exactly? Every time Piers is away or off, it reverts into GMTV of the noughties. Even Piers himself would mock the style of pres when he was off with them all being saccharine nice to each other. It's probably the one thing I agreed with him about though!

Pier's walking off, getting attention in the US on The View.

An Ofcom investigation on these grounds and the lead presenter leaving after discussions has got to raise numerous questions about what was going on in the gallery.

Never be under the impression that the gallery could not shut piers up if they wanted to. People have actively decided to keep him on air and saying what he did.

Thank you. I was watching it live and at first thought it was spontaneous, but later thinking about it..Had the hallmarks of being expected.

Normally the jib would be wandering around booming up and down like kid od'ing on sweets heavy on the E numbers, but it stayed on the whole desk wide shot. I'd suggest, just in case he did walk and your floor cameras couldn't pan right and cut too in time.

I suspect Erron (as main director) would have been in charge of the calls today, given the nature of the content, but I'm not going to blame him, other than for him not asking sound to dip is lapel mic.

He would be more concerned on getting Chiswick on talkback to hit the next break early and to line up the two live ob's whilst you'd have thought the exec in charge tried to get Moron back behind the desk.

I'm glad he is going, He was extremely rude to many of the guests that appeared on the show and even to his colleagues at times. Totally no need of it and made for uncomfortable viewing a lot of the time.

Lorraine Kelly on BBC One now saying it will be a lot quieter in the studio without Morgan and that he won't be appearing tomorrow. She "wishes him well".

The jib hasn't been in use since COVID hit...
