When I occasionally used to direct some local GMTV opts, I was at an outpost of the main Regional site - so MCR would put the Network feed from GMTV onto our OS, We'd confirm our Sound/Vision were safe and MCR would opt us to the transmitters. We'd then mix from GMTV to the local Presenter, back to Network at the end, get MCR to opt us out of the circuit, fade to black whilst watching off air to be sure. Think we had a cue dot, too. This was late 1990s.

Thanks for that. Did you stay in circuit for the whole time or was that done before/after every bulletin?

I saw that it was multinational and thought wow good for them and let them have their fun. Then I saw by multinational they mean three seperate awards one for Europe, the UK and USA (if it was all three together I’d be really impressed or Europe & UK together) and finally the nominees and how they categorized the shows - particularly the business show category. But if it’s chosen by the fans good for them. It may not be as high brow as the RTS, the Emmys, Peabodies, the Cronkite or AP Awards but still a wins a win.

And who doesn’t love them taking a crack at Piers?

Is Kate alright? She’s been on once in the last 4 weeks and Ben and Charlotte have done 3 fridays in a row with no newscaster. Late had a good deal of holiday in the summer so I wonder what’s happening

Wasn't it mentioned she was set to appear in I'm a celeb? Unsure whether those are just rumors but perhaps some filming for that?

They did say she was sent home unwell last week so perhaps she's still recovering.

On Behance there's also a dark background a bit lighter and cloudier than the GEB one with a bit of yellow in the sky. It looks nice. I hope it gets used as there was also a clear blue skied one on there but it didn't get used this summer

TOTH went a bit wrong this morning at 8. The intro didn't show the date and the intro theme faded out after the VOG read the date.
