When I occasionally used to direct some local GMTV opts, I was at an outpost of the main Regional site - so MCR would put the Network feed from GMTV onto our OS, We'd confirm our Sound/Vision were safe and MCR would opt us to the transmitters. We'd then mix from GMTV to the local Presenter, back to Network at the end, get MCR to opt us out of the circuit, fade to black whilst watching off air to be sure. Think we had a cue dot, too. This was late 1990s.
So the news studio gallery would put itself direct to TX, bringing in the feed from TLS as an outside source effectively?
