That's a very good use of their huge screen.

Angle was a little awkward but I agree it looked very nice.

Would look nice if the weather in the studio could be done from the screen, but they'd need to sort the angles out to avoid catching the end of the screen in the shot.

It looked brilliant although I agree the angle is awkward but that's due to the infamous credenza. They did a similar sequence this morning with the world map to point out all of the hurricanes/storms internationally and the jib panned around to show a more straight on angle. Looked alright but problematic with Ben and Charlotte sat infornt of the screen and awkwardly turned around.
It seems to have gone down well so I imagine we'll have more where this came from.

I haven’t appreciated the size of the screen until that report. Very in depth, explained well, good use of the studio and wonderful graphics.

With that angle and a large curved screen it reminded me of old sky news.

Good Morning Blandness.

A massive improvement on the Good Morning Blowhard that is Piers Morgan. I'll take blandness over him anyday.

Breakfast might be the show for you then...

Not at the moment. Watching Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain can be cringe inducing, but right now, Breakfast isn't good either. It feels like their just going through the motions, and honestly to me, that's worse than just being bland. You can be bland, but if you're still enjoying what you're doing, it can still be quite watchable. Breakfast right now doesn't feel that watchable right now. Radio is winning for me at the moment.

GMB's issue is that Breakfast is the show for way more people. So rather than sneering at Breakfast like many do on here, maybe some should look at what Breakfast is doing that GMB isn't that is causing it to rate much better.

But clearly for some on here, it's the viewers who are wrong.

That attitiude is a problem within the broadcasting industry. There's a sort of superiority complex, that because they're working in it, they know better than the viewers and listeners who they are supposed to be serving. I find that attitude really off-putting.

Really great graphics used by both GMB and The Weather Channel in my opinion.

Well this is a TV pres forum so many here come from that point of view.

In terms of presentation GMB is miles ahead. BBC Breakfast is very assured, safe and dependable and having been at the top for so long now, it lacks any ambition.

That was epic, really does put the whole risk into perspective.

Not just that, but its stuck in a studio that just doesn't suit it. It never did, and given the fact that GMB has had great looking studios, the fact that Breakfast continues to languish in a poor regional studio, really doesn't help.

If GMB didn't have that idiot Morgan screwing up the show every morning, perhaps they might be able to build a show that could challenge Breakfast, but with him, they got a cheap pop in the ratings and a lot of cheap heat on social media that undoes any good work they do.

Increased ratings and press coverage. Yes, such a poor decision.
