He would have done, he has been brilliant on the Wright Stuff this past week, however the other day he made a comment that he left broadcast news because it seemed very repetitive (this was when discussing Brexit) and that issues discussed at the end of last year are the same things being discussed now.

It's a shame that Matt wasn't kept on following Daybreak, although going from everyday to covering for Ben for have been a step backwards.

He's a better suit for This Morning in my opinion.

I agree. Deputising for Ben instead of John Stapleton would have been a small step but could have become bigger especially with Ben dropping days, though of course this is all talk in hindsight, the programme is a completely different programme now under Piers, just a shame that it appears to be a totally different programme when Piers is absent.

Jeremy Kyle was due to present today with Kate but they revealed at the top of the show, he was ill so couldn’t appear. Charlotte presented with Kate, meaning there was no separate newsreader.

I've had funnier medical issues. Joe Swash, like Iain Lee are awful.

However no complaints about the 7am weather starring Joe also😉😉😉
