For comparisons sake (albeit going slightly off topic), are there 'B teams' on the US breakfast programmes? Whenever I've seen clips, the majority of time the main anchors in the US seem to host Monday to Friday, are deputy anchors just used to cover holidays, and would they utilise their weekend anchors? Also do the US hosts take as many weeks off as ITV Daytime main anchors (usually with the school holidays)?

Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you just have the 'A Team' with deputy or weekend anchors covering. Regarding holidays, somebody else will have to answer that.

With STV, its tends to be Kelly ann or Rachel McTavish, covering Glasgow, Rachel McTavish, kelly ann, Gorden Cree or Laura Goodwin.

With Aberdeen its Norman, Andra or Laura Goodwin. Hardly any weekend stuff cover, but I have seen it a few time for Edinburgh

Ugh. They need to stop getting these 'reality stars' in. Is it a hard news show where Piers Morgan berates politicians, or is it a pile of fluff where Jeremy Kyle milks plastic cows? They need to make their mind up.

I don't understand... I'm not sure you could call the show under Piers Morgan hard news?

"How dare you come on here, you qualified doctor, and have the audacity to speak to the Messiah who just happens to be the disgraced Editor sacked for publishing fake pictures in "his" newspaper."

I think the issue is more that he has appeared on a reality TV show and the fact that he is a qualified doctor almost certainly isn't the only reason why he could/would be joining the team.

I don't know why you've gone off on a tangent about Piers Morgan's past. I'm merely giving an example of why I think the programme is too inconsistent. One minute, they're boasting they have the only UK interview with the US president, and the next, they're faffing about with reality stars. You don't know what you're getting.

You can add Emma Cameron to the list for STV Glasgow. As for weekend cover, it's a pan regional from Glasgow anyway, so any one could in theory do it.
