Always find him quite watchable on the projects he's doing for the BBC and I've always said they were wrong to sideline him and to a lesser extent Charlotte when really they should have been putting them in a position to be the main stand ins and potential future main hosts.

Does seem this summer they're relying less on guest presenters and more on their own team, with only Eamonn announced so far as having a guest run. I'm guessing GMB Today isn't returning either.

I'm guessing GMB Today isn't returning either.

Last year GMB Today was announced on August 10th I believe, so there’s time yet for an announcement, but with Christine Bleakley covering for Lorraine all summer it seems unlikely they’d bring it back for two weeks - like last year - when they could just use it all summer. Did Lorraine take the whole 6/7 weeks off last year?

So, Eamonn is in, and the lower thirds briefly went off. It vanished as they went into the news at 6:07 and whilst the clock and logo returned after a minute, the flipper is yet to return.

EDIT: Flipper back at 6:18.

I thought GMB Today was only really introduced because Lorraine was getting a new set? Presumably that is not the case this year, so thats why they are not bringing it back?

As coined by CNN.

It's the thing that displays a summary of each headline at the bottom of the screen. It appears below the headline graphic and next to the clock.

Looks like it was a back-up graphic, as the logo and clock both went behind any (live) wipes.

Correct. Thanks for that.

I thought that had been the case since the move to TVC. Might be wrong though.

I believe she did have the full 6 weeks last year also.

Presumably with GMB and This Morning sharing a studio there wouldn't be time to run a GMB Today programme because of setting up for This Morning.

I'm surprised Eamonn is doing GMB, This Morning and his Talk Radio show this week, surely that's going to be quite tiring even if it's only going to be for three days.
