Piers will be presenting for the rest of the week. For the first time in a while, I'm quite happy about that.

So that means Friday as well?! I'm beginning to think that they're slowly getting rid of Ben now, or he's just decided to get a massive handful of time-off every few weeks. We're not seeing him that often on the show at all, and his persistent absence leads me to wonder whether eventually he's just gonna be on his way. Personally I think Ben fits more of the showbiz and fluff - but due to the show becoming more hard-hitting, I don't really think he's right for it. I'd prefer someone like Richard Madeley or Eamonn Holmes to fully take his place, since they're more professional and fitting to the role.

At risk of wild speculation I wonder if Piers may be doing another GMB exclusive interview with his friend Trump later in the week. After all Trump is expected to be in London from late Thursday according to the press.

Ben’s commitments to Tipping Point is probably the reason he’s been off a lot. I do agree that maybe he should step down because TBH he doesn’t need GMB and he’d be far better off doing something like This Morning

I believe Piers' last day is 18th July, he mentioned last Wednesday that he's off in two weeks.

Ah yes the same Kate Garraway who has been a journalist for nearly 25 years and presented on both Sky News and BBC News 24.

I don't watch GMB but really don't get why people act as if she's unworthy of presenting GMB - from the clips I see and if Good Evening Britain was anything to go by it's hardly News At 10.

Was Piers meant to be off all week? Or just having Monda off? I can’t see Susanna or him doing Friday.

Susanna has done a Friday before.

Susanna and Kate are the best duo, the rest are just dull as dish water.

In the coming up tomorrow promo before the regional news. There was a picture of Kate and Susanna for tomorrow’s show

It was probably just a mistake. Piers is definitely returning tomorrow alongside Susanna and Charlotte.

I’m guessing that was the planned line up until today’s news.
