Remember Eamonn said he was leaving GMTV because of the early starts, only to pop up on Sunrise. If the price is right!

As much as Eamonn would be the perfect Thursday/Friday host, I’m not sure that’s something he’s particularly interested in doing full time. He’s got some pretty good gigs at the moment. I wouldn’t mind seeing Alan Partridge, sorry Richard Madeley, either. Both have good qualities. Just not Jeremy Kyle please.



Pretty well handled by Kate and Ranvir I thought. Clearly he had planned that stunt well before his gripes with his treatment.

No. By calmly explaining to the guest the reason they were separated and promising to discuss it with him during the break. Handling something like that on live television isn’t the easiest thing.

Exactly this. Kate showed her experience and took control of a very difficult situation.

Presumably if C4's 'The Word' was still going, they'd be using that watch list to book their guests from !

These days, if Ch4's The Word was still on-air, it wouldn't be the trashiest show on TV. When you look at some of what we have on TV today, whether it's trashy populist crap on ITV2 like Love Island, or a certain trashy ITV daytime "talk" show with mostly shouty chavs as "guests" ... The Word would be considered (almost) classy entertainment by comparison!

GMB have an exclusive interview with Thomas Markle this morning. It's such a big news event (for GMB) that there's no 10 minute tirade from Morgan this morning. Straight into a news summary with Charlotte, then into the interview.

No headline bed either. The who into plus headlines from Charlotte within 3 minutes. Will be interesting to see how the rest of the programme follows as they have said Thomas Markle will be on throughout the morning.

First regional news bulletin has been dropped too.

So I with the “exclusive” they got I looked around and it appears portions only aired on Today (significantly down the running order). No headline or mentions (which I imagine there would have been on) CBS This Morning and no results on GMA’s website (it may of appeared on the broadcast).

I’m assuming the NBC News / ITN deal also extended to Good Morning Britain.

Now I have to ask does GMB do checkbook journalism? As far as I know is that the big three will pay for airfare, food and accommodation to NYC but will rarely pay for footage unless they plan to do a special or distribute it widely.
