You could say the same about Piers, Monday to Wednesday much of the time.
By the way, was Susanna hosting alone yesterday? You'd have thought so.

Agreed. However we've come to expect that with Piers. He's there to play devils advocate which he does well. Susanna only really plays referee for the hard interviews when he's in.
But I did watch the interview yesterday and did notice that she was the only one getting involved.

Nah, he’s there to further his own narcissism and ego, and to shout all over the interviewees whilst Susanna sits there awkwardly in silence thinking ‘well, at least I’m earning more, I can pick up the kids and I’m not in Salford.’ 😉

Given Ben's many TV commitments, I'm surprised he's still doing GMB but I wouldn't be surprised if he steps down when his contract runs out.
Eamonn would be good for GMB but given he now does a drivetime show on Talk Radio, it's unlikely he could do it on a full time basis unless he gave up doing This Morning.

Kate is an utter shambles on GMB, you would be forgiven for thinking GMB Mon-Wed and Thurs-Fri were two different shows. She'd be better on This Morning or Lorraine.
I doubt Matthew Wright will accept a spot on GMB (full-time) - one of the reasons (so he said anyway) that he quit TWS was because of the early starts.
Eamonn is the perfect fit for GMB, either him or Richard M should take over from Ben if/ when he departs in my opinion.

We're not talking about a full time spot though, just Thurs/Fri. And besides, it's generally accepted Wright left because he fell out with the new team producing it.

Getting a little tired of these heated debates on GMB. And it’s the usual arguments from Piers and Susanna with guests with extreme views on either side.
An utter shambles? What a ridiculous statement. Maybe you’d prefer Charlotte then?

It’s the contrived nature of many of the debates which gets me, usually trying to cause a stir about something entirely uncontroversial. At least once a week there’s a ‘Should [insert subject that no-one has ever suggested should be banned] be banned?’, invariably with two rent-a-gob guests who will happily argue any point in return for their appearance fee.

What did you expect?
The producer who booked the guest probably put on the sequence notes that the guest 'may do something' so with an advisory warning to the gallery - who then informed Chiswick to 'be ready' was about the best they could do.
Anyway, a CA announcement would only have drawn more attention to the prat. Nothing 'Ofcom concerning' was shown, so there was nothing to apologise to viewers for, just crash to black, hit the break, and move on once back for it.
As already mentioned, that disrespectful moment a guest tried to humiliate the team live on air due to 'mistreatment' by doing this..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3mPnklp058
Followed by an abrupt cross to the break without any CU brief or visual ident being played.

I don't think they'll be clamouring to have him, in any case.
