Also, is it just me who is surprised that he reads them all, I'd presume that he'd record every day, date, month and year for them to compile into any configuration.

That wouldn't sound as good, it would be a bit like the Speaking Clock

That's it, couldn't remember what it was called as its changed its name to match the name changes of the programme

I keep wondering if they should block the clock out on +1, but then we shouldn't have to accomodate idiots.

Surely it's easily possible to superimpose something of the exact same size, shape, colour and position as the clock, but with the plain text therein saying e.g. "ITV+1"? (or "RECORDED", or "NOT LIVE"? Whatever).

I, too, am amazed that GMB haven't long-since introduced some such solution. They'd be doing themselves a massive favour, as it would stop their social media feeds getting clogged up with "wrong time" idiocy.

Although I do agree that we shouldn't have to accommodate morons, unfortunately that's exactly what 99.9% of human beings are.

I wonder if it was Jeremy Kyle or another male presenter that wrote ‘love’like that to someone would be okay?

The viewer herself was hardly a beacon of politeness.

Re: the voiceovers - I was sure they used to be edited together rather than each date spoken in full.

The issue with editing the voice together is that you may not get the same inflection if your editing the different days, day of week and month together.

That tells you how many tweets they've had about it... but people still do it.

Thing is, you'd think there'd be a solution to it rather than everyone at ITV just sneering and going "oh I can't believe you got that wrong". People can leave their TV on ITV+1 and forget about it overnight.

But surely it's far less effort to press literally just ONE sodding button on a remote control that will bring something onto the screen showing that you're on ITV+1, than the numerous keystrokes and clicks required to type out e.g. a Tweet?

I'm certain that if there was a BBC One+1, Breakfast would experience little/none of the same kind of online idiocy about their clock. Or, the BBC would actually have some solution in place so that the one-hour-behind clock was somehow not shown on +1.

If only people could buy their own clocks.

Isn't the problem people have their own clocks and are comparing the time with GMB's? If you didn't have access to a clock, how would you know the time? (Yes you can tell by height of the sun, etc but I'm pretty sure the people who are typing these tweets don't possess that skill).

Think I said this before but surely the other issue is that the ITV+1 DOG is too small. Maybe if it was more prominent even just during GMB that could help?

For whatever reason, it’s never been adjusted since the 2013 revamp made the ‘+1’ too small to even read. It’s evidently not a big enough problem for them to change it.

The people who suggest it would be easier to press one button and make sure you're on ITV rather than ITV + 1 - you're assuming people have any logic when they've first woken up.

Yes, the smart arses who tweet about it and don't consider that, or whether they're getting anyone in trouble, can generally sod off. But there will be people who'll quietly not notice they're on the wrong channel.

In the grand scheme of things it's not a massive issue, but neither do I think people are stupid for not clocking it (as it were).
