I can't figure why they failed to cross to the second shot after the titles, and had to go straight to the presenters shot. And if you look closely at around 0:13, you can see that Charlotte, Kate and Ranvir are not behind the desk, which proves that it wasn't even a live shot.

Just watched a video from the 18th April, the first time they had technical problems. Again no date or voice over but what stood out was this shot (seen below), same as the video from this morning, it shows different people different behind the desk. http://oi63.tinypic.com/1zh2vdl.jpg

Looked like a shot of Piers/ Susanna behind the desk to me... that could be the default shot in-case anything does go wrong?

I think that's what it is. It seems pretty handy to have IMO just in case the live shot fails when coming from the London skyline shot.
Just noticed at the toth that instead of the blurred out studio shot before the logo transitions, they just put a pic of TVC

Technical Problems with the TOTH this morning. At 6am, the headline sequence went fine. But then when the time came to run the titles it went from the headlines to the blurred shot to the presenter shot to the blurred shot to the London skyline shot and back again. Music and voiceover played fine.
