Last week was October- this month is when the jungle starts, so wouldn’t surprise me if she had some time off within the next few weeks.

Susanna and Piers didn't read the top story at 6.30am, instead Charlotte read all the news.

Pip Tomson filling-in for Charlotte Hawkins filling-in for Kate Garraway for the next few weeks, I suspect.

Possibly as Richard Gaisford will be busy along with others covering the General Election Campaign. Although Pip could be too.

They may give someone else the opportunity.

With industrial volumes of voice tracking going on in some Global outlets - suspect she's read out enough liners into Adobe Audition, to get to at least the end of her programmes this week.

I know the deal was probably struck months ago but giving one of their presenters 5 weeks off during an election campaign isn't the best idea for rota planning.

Perhaps not however there’s enough people at GMB to cover it, I’m guessing Sean Fletcher will do Thursday and Friday newsreading with Charlotte as main presenter on Friday.

Or you could say it's ideal considering how opinionated he is.

Just caught up on this interview with Ronan Farrow about his serious book about how the Weinstein allegations were said to have been covered up by the industry.



Piers and Susanna try to turn it into a petty squabble about changing the lyrics of Baby It's Cold Outside, but Ronan masterfully steers the conversation back to the important issue.

In the end they force the gear change by talking about Ronan's mother Mia Farrow who Piers rang up the night before specifically so he could bring it up on air. Ronan clearly felt it's an odd thing to do and I found the whole thing embarrassing.
