Richard Madely will hopefully make a summer return. Eamonn will Be On This Morning but; ciukd we see Alastair Stewart do a stint? That would be good.

You can see why ITV like Piers Morgan - articles about Duchess of Suffolk visitng Wimbledon use his comments to fill out the articles. Everytime he comments on things and gets quoted like that is excellent publicity for GMB.

Indeed and that's what will happen when him and Susanna head off on their break. He commented last September when he got back about the state of the show while he was away.

That said, the show's numbers do seem OK when Piers isn't there (excluding school holidays).

I saw Andrew Castle on BBC news this morning. I didn’t particularly like him on GMTV - I thought at the time he was too newsy. I reckon he would be good on GMB

Andrew and Kate were a great pairing back in the day, alongside Eamonn and Fiona.

Gmtv was never the same after Eamonn left. Whatever your opinion of him, he was the glue that held the show together. Him and Fiona were the early morning equivalent of Richard and Judy, as we're John and Penny. Andrew was OK as second/relief presenter, but didn't have the charisma or personality for the number 1 job and had no chemistry with Fiona. He was good with Kate though, just not Fiona. He wasn't as bad as Ben was with Fiona, those two looked like mother and son. I half expected Ben to sit on Fiona's lap sometimes. Andrew didn't really develop a consistent personality until 2009 when Emma Crosby started and GMTV adopted a more upmarket tone. Now 10 years later though, maybe Andrew would suit breakfast telly more and it's be good to have an old face on for nostalgia over the summer. If Ben Shepherd can be more bearable in 2019 than he was 10 years ago, then anyone can!

Even if that’s true he’s quite full of himself to make the comment and poor manners to dis your own show.
