Piers Morgan is probably the only British "journalist" who can access President Trump for interviews on a regular basis if he so wished. Their friendship through Piers appearance on The Apprentice has made this possible, and ITV will use this to get the exclusive interviews with the President of the USA.

Will he bring his megaphone with him when he does?
Piers has reportedly been invited to interview Donald Trump at the White House. Piers is working on a "long-form" discussion.

I'm not the guy's biggest fan, but I don't think you can reasonably put journalist in quote marks when referring to somebody who studied journalism then worked their way up through local and regional papers to become the Editor of the Daily Mirror.

Well put. Some may not agree with his style but he's more qualified then some who appear on television.
As Piers has said on air regarding Trump, there's no point going in looking for confrontation because that'll be the last time he gives an interview to you. You can ask questions on numerous topics, as he has done, without going in like you're working for the prosecution which a fair number of journalists do these days.

I put "journalist" in quotes, as some people would disagree that Mr Morgan is a proper journalist, just a muckraker. His involvement in the phone hacking scandals also gives me some leeway in my attitude to Mr Morgan.
All that aside, I have no issue with Piers on GMB. Entertaining and annoying at the same time makes good viewing over my morning coffee and toast at 7.00am.

On that logic maybe you should perhaps also have referred to "President" Trump?
