Well, it depends.
Something like 'Live from the ITV Studios at Television Centre in London, this is.. "
Would cover both bases and dilute the BBC aspect to the introduction.

That's too long to fit in the intro

I myself think that people tune in to GMB because of Piers and his ranting. Ever since he joined in 2015 the ratings have improved massively.

My mother-in-law records GMB every day, and plays it back in the afternoon or evening. She's not in the least bit interested in the (proper) news content. I suspect although probably in a minority as far as recording it goes, clearly not alone being attracted to the show's style and presenters.

Keep things in perspective though, BBC Breakfast and GMB audience figures combined, are dwarfed by radio at that time of the day.

They might be dwarfed by radio but very difficult to drive to work watching the tele in the car isn’t it, I think the analargy is rather contrite.

If you were trying to spell analogy, better luck next time, but I wasn't attempting an analogy, I was just pointing out TV audiences in the morning can never be huge (Until we're all in driverless cars etc)

At the end of the day 'from ITV Studios' is a reference to the production company, rather than the building itself so I personally can't see the problem with it. If it was 'Live from THE ITV Studios in London' that would perhaps muddy the waters somewhat more.

Unless people would prefer 'Live from ITV Studios at BBC Studioworks in Stanhope's Television Centre in White City, London, England, in the UK, Europe and the world....this is Good Morning Britain.' Laughing

How are they going to rehearse when GMB are using the gallery?

They could do it during Lorraine/JK?

The question was about noise during an extended GMB replacing Lorraine / JK.

I see. Then it'd be very unlikely unless it's possible to do it in the Lorraine studio, perhaps?

And the cameras.

I suspect that the idea might be that an extended GMB would only pre-empt Lorraine. ITN would take over rolling coverage in place of JK giving This Morning time for a quick turnaround of TC3.

On a morning with breaking news the TM running order has probably already been ripped up so there isn't so much to rehearse.
Newsroom24 and dosxuk gave kudos

Not sure if this was posted in either thread but I found this podcast earlier where the editor of GMB, Neil Thompson talks about their successes and the programme. They also discuss what has previously happened in the event of a breaking story where they run over. Makes a pretty interesting listen.

I really enjoyed listening to this! Thank you.
2 million GMB viewers were mentioned at the beginning though - from what I’ve seen on here in the past, that doesn’t sound right?

Bloody hell, it has a transcript! I absolutely hate listening to podcasts and much prefer reading interviews in text form, so this is fantastic.

The font has been fixed on the headlines, and we got a peek at the new gallery in the opening titles.

Here's the opening of today's episode:

Love that shot of the gallery at the end of the titles reminds me of NBC Today

Just to compare... GMB's now closely resembles the intro of NBC Today. From the signature tune and logo and then launching into the bed. Headlines sequence (though much shorter) and a drumming bed theme. Date intro. Then network logo again and transition to programme logo. Then transitioning LIVE to the gallery, fade to studio.
