Piers is all talk. He wouldn't leave. He wouldn't have much to gain from doing that really.

Would he? He’s clearly having the time of his life. But why would they make him take a pay cut?
He'd probably leave if ITV made him take a pay cut

If they got a boss that didn't like Piers then they might get him to take a pay cut

The trouble is, it doesn’t feel like there’s anybody waiting in the wings at the moment. Of the regular stand-ins, nobody quite seems to fit the bill as an obvious successor.
There’s an opportunity to bring in someone else on a Thursday and Friday, who the viewers can get to know, who can be developed as a possible replacement for Morgan. It would also be a chance to bring some consistency to the style of the programme across the week.

There's the matter of what else he would do. I can't see any other British channel giving him work and I think he's had his chance in America. He'd sit nicely at LBC but I can't see them paying him anywhere near as much as ITV.

If the Wireless Group can afford to poach Chris Evans from Radio 2 for Virgin, it’s not out of the question that they could try to do the same with Piers Morgan to give TalkRadio a shot in the arm, especially as they’ve just sold their local stations. Although it depends on whether his ego would cope with the move to a potentially lower profile job.

I ruled this out as an option given Rupert Murdoch isn't exactly Piers' biggest fan.

Ben Shephard is still very popular though and is probably the only GMB host that doesn’t divide opinion. Ben seems to still enjoy GMB, so I don’t think he’s leaving anytime soon.
I’d agree there doesn’t seem to be a natural successor; I doubt Richard Madeley would take the gig full time and Adil Ray is nice enough but quite bland.
I personally think Emma Barnett and Susanna would be a great pairing. Today over in the States has proved you don’t need to have the traditional male/female pairing.
