That said whatever happened to Helen Fospero - she started to appear in the last few years of GMTV (after being on Sky News) and was a complete natural at Breakfast TV but not sure I've seen her on screen since really?

According to Wiki ... She's now a reporter on Watchdog and The One Show.

And lo, a GMB discussion with minimal interruption and respect shown to all sides:

Whilst she did work on both of those shows at some point - I don't think she's currently in either shows' regular presenting/reporting line-up.

Completely off the previous topic, but I'm just wondering what people think about GMB vs GMTV. I love the Piers rants, they make me laugh and bring a bit of flame to the program, which is good. However, watching GMTV opens on YouTube I cant help but want it back. It was a truly great program, with a great set and brilliant music (I'm talking about before the 2009 refresh). It all went downhill in 2009, however I was just wondering, what would you guys prefer? GMB or the 2008 incarnation of GMTV?

2008 GMTV definitely. I prefer the more intimate nature of the presentation. No sweeping shots of a shiny studio. It was more simple, cosy, feeling almost like an extended in-vision continuity. That intimacy meant viewers felt like a part of the family, which is not really the case today.

GMB seem to focus more on getting on guests who'll grab headlines than who'll actually have anything of merit to say. The naked woman this morning is a perfect example of this.

I'm not particularly keen on Good Morning Britain, but she was on the Today programme the other day.

Did they pixelate too?

See for yourself...

She used to have her haters though, and that was in the era before Twitter and click bait stories. Imagine it now.

It might be why in those days you had warm and cosy GMTV and brash entertaining The Big Breakfast as choices and now the highest rating programme is BBC Breakfast, the blandest programme ever.

Spencer Matthews “filling in” for Richard Arnold today. Cue lots of awkward silences and looking like a rabbit caught in headlights whilst trying to deliver showbiz news.

Can’t wait for the day that reality tv “stars” are no longer forced upon us as if we all love them.

Worth noting Dolly Parton was on the One Show live on Friday evening. Taking an educated guess they may well have interviewed her on Friday afternoon whilst she was in London.

Couldn't help but sense the irony when they were reporting on the Love Island star who is headlining the 9 to 5 musical that Kate commented something to the effect that "it just proves that reality stars aren't just talentless wannabes... just like you've proved yourself today Spencer".

Why can't they just sign up a deputy Entertainment host on GMB just like they have deputies for the Weather and Newsreaders?

I know GMB is/was never there to be a hard news show but it's hard to take the show seriously if you're having Made In Chelsea people presenting segments or if the show is asking Danny Dyer about ISIS. The show is basically real life Alan Partridge these days.

People on here may sneer at Breakfast but maybe the reason why people watch them is you they don't have Katie Price doing the business news and you won't get them asking a soap star for their take on say the gillet jaunes.

I thought Iain Lee did a pretty good job myself.
