I do worry that he’s starting to go too far.

I do worry that Richard Arnold is starting to be a bit camp.

So Piers started today's GMB with his latest rant, today about studying him studying Latin at school, and the cheap engagement rings at Poundland, only to be suddenly interrupted at 06:08 by Ranvir Singh appearing on the videowall live at Westminster. This appeared to be a technical mistake, but I wonder whether that was done "accidentally on purpose" in a vain attempt to cut Piers' rant short.

It must be in jest but John Webb on Twitter said that he was getting bored of Piers' ranting and pushed a few buttons. Very Happy

I'm sure he's not the only one getting bored of Piers' lengthy daily rants! Wink

I'm starting to worry that water is wet. GMB should probably cover that story.

In all seriousness, I've started to tire of Piers' rants. And I enjoyed watching them before. He's become an even bigger caricature of himself and I find myself switching off. What's worse is that Susanna has also become increasingly intolerant during debates (as was mentioned on here recently). During a recent Brexit debate she was ranting even more than her sidekick.

The problem is, I find Piers days grating and non-Piers days boring as hell. So what exactly is GMB meant to be?

His comment to Charlotte yesterday that she is essentially ‘a nice pair of pins’ could have come straight out of the 1970s.

This is the issue they’ve created for themselves. The usual Piers act has gone stale in my opinion, and there’s no real replacement for him. I don’t think Richard Madeley or Eamonn Holmes want to do the gig full time, and frankly Richard is probably worse than Piers in some ways. I’m watching GMB far less these days, but I still wouldn’t watch Breakfast.

It's just a bit of banter, we need to stop getting so offended. That's why it's come "straight out of the 1970s" - 40+ years ago, we didn't get triggered by every little thing - we just got on with our lives.

I’m not going to debate the merits of political correctness with you as it’s simply not on topic. The comment, in my opinion, was inappropriate.

Piers has raged about the Gillette advert whilst ironically displaying the poor behaviour it seeks to highlight.

I don't really find Piers too bad, and unlike many on here I quite enjoy some of his rants. I will agree that at times, he goes over the top to generate headlines which I like less and I do feel that certain elements and discussions have all become a bit samey - prehaps time to come up with a few more innovative discussion topics and things for Piers to have a rant about!

That said, he still makes for interesting viewing most of the time in my opinion and I think the sort of feeling that your not quite sure what will happen next is probably why I enjoy watching Jeremy Clarkson on programmes. I do get, why people don't like him though, I expect unless he decides to leave in the near future (which I think is unlikely) or the ratings fall off, he's probably here to stay.

With the caveat that I didn't see the segment in question, you wouldn't call someone that at your own workplace (or at least, I hope you wouldn't) so it's offensive and not "just a bit of banter" in my eyes.

It’s unfortunate that a lot of TV programmes do recruit hosts who are... easy on the eye...not saying Charlotte isn’t a good newsreader but her looks probably contributed in securing her role...same applies to many... Even some of the men on TV such as Stephen Mulhern or Phillip schofield- recruited because they have people who fancy them. I know if they are on TV of course they will spend more time looking good... you don’t see many scruffy people in tv
