I actually Googled to check the correct name of the bridge before posting. Somehow, my ickle brain managed to convert Transporter to Lifting within 2 seconds. Fail.
It does kind of undermine the argument that it's a more distinguishable landmark
than
The Tyne Bridge.
My actual original point (regardless of my spelling/naming screw-up) was that the Middlesbrough bridge is far more distinguishable
from
the Tyne Bridge (i.e. physically dissimilar in shape, etc) than the Sunderland bridge that they've used is.
In no way shape or form did I say anything about the relative notability of any/all of the three bridges.
New piece on GMB and Charlotte in The Mirror from a few days ago, which mentions this:

Sounds like Charlotte will take Richard’s place reporting on IAC rather than being a late arrival. A bit of a strange choice if this is the case, and I’m not sure why it would be ‘top secret’.
I actually think Lorraine is wasted on her daytime show. She is so interested in sci-fi, technology, history, literature, and this shows when an appropriate guest steps into the studio. She absolutely lit up when interviewing Michael Palin about his recent book on Erebus.
It must be so soul destroying to have to feign interest in whatever babble Dan Wootton has to spout every morning. She does it well though.

I honestly think Lorraine is fantastic. Can imagine she’s completely genuine and always nice to people too. Feels like she does her job for the love of it rather than the money.
Charlotte back on newsreading duties this morning, back from what she called a ‘holiday’ in Australia. Not sure where the mirror got the idea she was covering I’m a celeb as far I known GMB/Charlotte haven’t covered I’m a Celeb in any detail.
