Ben was presenting for 4 days the first week of this year, one all week in February 2017, August 2016 and February 2016.

Isn’t it a bit sad to record details such as this?

I have just found this on Behance: https://www.behance.net/gallery/68272203/Good-Morning-Britain

The page includes some GIFs which are surprisingly satisfying to watch (at least until they get out of sync):

I don’t know at what point Madeley decided it was a good idea to comment on Susanna’s weight, but it obviously was not. Madeley is certainly more interesting than Adil Ray, but eventually he’s going to say something hugely inappropriate.

Shouldn’t Susanna’s name be read out first, given that she’s the senior presenter? Or is there a reason why the male presenter’s name is read out first?

Susanna's name came first with Adil so I guess it's to do with Madley's ego, much the same as Piers.

I'd say that would involve engaging brain before speaking - a rarity for Madeley. However, generally the opening chit chat is at least a little bit prepared. If not, it was linked to a conversation they'd been having before going on air so it wasn't that inappropriate.

So if the male's name is read first it's to do with ego, whereas when it's the female it's because she's "the senior presenter"?

Not at all. If there was a presenter more senior to Susanna, then I'd expect their name to go first - male or female - but there isn't. Richard Madeley, Ranvir Sing, Kate Garraway, Ben Shepherd, Richard Gaisford etc have all worked for ITV longer but Reid has always been seen to be the senior GMB presenter.

For once, viewers have a reason to complain about the clock - Lorraine’s is an hour late, currently showing. 9:36.

If Richard is left of frame and Susanna is right of frame, you'd normally read Richard's name first as you 'see' left to right. (Because we read left to right)

That's a long standing TV convention - less important when you have people of different genders, but very usual when you are introducing people of the same gender without taking close-ups.

Yet oddly it would have been the right time on +1 for once.

The issue was that when she presented with Adil, her name was read out first, but when presenting with Richard, her name was second. The same today with Kate's name said second. Not in the grand scheme of things should it matter, but it's a curious one. I'd go down the Today route where whoever is the longest has their name first and that doesn't change until they leave.
