Surely not any more of an experiment than any of the other constant tinkering / perpetual state of flux that ITV's breakfast offerings have been in since at least Daybreak mk1?
Also, it was originally 'GMB SHOWBUZZ', but now it just says 'SHOWBUZZ'. Maybe they realised that having another reference to the name of the programme was a bad idea.
Still, I don't know why they couldn't just list it as 'SHOWBIZ SHARP'

Piers worse than ever today for yapping on for ages after they're trying to wrap it up. I didn't see the 6am opener but I dread to think how long they spent chatting before they actually started with the show considering Charlotte's exit from SCD.

To be fair they are showing solidarity with Charlotte after her exit from Strictly. It has made me wonder how fair the Structly process is considering not all contestants have experience of dancing and some have plenty of experience.

They didn't get to the news until past 6:05am this morning... but 5 minutes at the beginning is fine in my view - I would rather Piers got things out the way at the beginning than at the end of the news which when discussing something irrelevant to the news, breaks up the flow of the program before the papers & local news.
