Noticed the latest questionable tactic with the competitions is to promote the same competition several months apart. This weeks competition opens for a week this month, then opens again for a week in November. I really struggle to see how this is allowed, given that very few people that enter these sorts of things are unlikely to remember that they've entered before. On shaky ground in my opinion.

As of this week I noticed that the T&Cs says which weeks the competition is open. I agree it is somewhat questionable but if it says so in the terms and conditions then they can get away with it.

GMB's timings at the minute are awful - today they were meant to have Emeli Sande at 7:50, ended up over running and put her on at 8:27 for two minutes instead.
GMB should limit celebrity guests to one per show - max (unless they have a relation to a big news story etc), but celebs promoting a TV show for example should be left to Lorraine, TM & LW.

Are producers / directors scared of Piers? He seems to be one of the main factors in why the timings have been way off. He even took his ear piece out the other day to ramble on.

Wouldn't have thought they are 'scared' of Piers, sometimes he may be a bit of a pain to work with but I do think he puts some of it on and probably gets on well with them! If they were that worried about him, he wouldn't be there and if he gets the ratings they probably worry less about the timings. Piers is a professional and if producers/directors had serious concerns with him, they'd have a meeting and I'm sure Piers would comply. As I said before, I think he puts some of his 'loose canonn' image on a lot of the time.

No, just producers and directors care far less about timings than you do.

It's a reasonable observation.
It is well known that people often run their morning routine using the radio show they listen to as a timing device - they know that they need to be in the shower by the time the a particular feature is on or they will miss the bus, for example. There are often complaints when shows change their features around because it screws up people's routine.
It's not too big a stretch to suggest that people use breakfast telly in the same way.
