Susanna is good at counter-balancing Piers' rants with something more expected of a news presenter. I do wonder whether other presenters would be as skilled as that, should she ever not be available for whatever reason.

I imagine they would be: Ben handles Kate well; Ranvir coped with Mark Austin's guest stint; and Charlotte has experience of Eamonn Holmes
An additional white tag has been used for the first time, reading 'TERROR IN LONDON' to the right of the normal 'breaking news' tag.
I expect that was due to the "Live from ITV Studios in London" VO, which wasn't technically true as the majority of the programme came from Westminster not TLS.

Do Kate and Mark need "handling" or "coping with"? Both pretty safe pairs of hands I would have thought, professional broadcasters unlikely to say anything so controversial that a co presenter needs to balance it or play devil's advocate.

Not at all, my phrasing may have been off. I meant that when Kate digresses then Ben brings her back on track, likewise when Mark wasn't best pleased about being up and broadcasting at 6 then Ranvir took the reigns. Not that they were unprofessional or likely to say anything controversial just like when Piers goes off on a rant, then the other presenters are able to get back on track so would probably be as skilled as Susanna is, if she was ever absent.
Anyway, very good coverage from GMB this morning, as others have said.
The GMB studio looks quite good lit in dark blue. Not sure why they've put a woooden top on the desk though. They are using some very tight camera angles to avoid showing the sofa. Would have been better in the corner of the studio next to the screen.
EDIT: they've got the GMB logo covered up and 'Terror in London' decals on the desk. It looks a bit of a mess overall, but a good make shift studio nonetheless.
I was thinking that they should do ITV News from the GMB studio and try and do something a bit different to what the BBC do and use the space more creatively.
I think they should replace the GMB logo with a screen. It would allow for other programmes to use the studio without the desk looking slightly strange. It could also be used for other purposes on GMB, such as a clock or date and for other graphics to be shown without the lower thirds, such as:
