I expect rather than 'not getting on' I bet they just don't see each other anymore.

I remember in the GMTV days the tabloids would print constantly how all the women hated each other, I bet they didn't.

I was up early this morning and caught the TOTH of Good Morning Britain at 6am as I haven't seen it for a while and Piers Morgan's success on the programme absolutely baffles me. After the headlines he spent four minutes chatting about things he'd seen in the paper and whining about his broken ribs, before they eventually got to the top story FIVE minutes in - at this point Breakfast were well into the main news summary. I can understand a little chat at the TOTH but this was ridiculous, and presumably left whoever was managing the running order scrambling to get things to keep vaguely to time!

They do this all of the time now so I'm sure they'll presume there'll be at least 3 minutes of conversation. As someone else said; it's quite clever as it gives the crap click-bait newspapers time to get a story out. I've seen it before where it was about 6.15 by the time they threw to the regional news.

Not just the clickbait papers, but GMB have been getter better at getting their video out there on the social platforms. Having a designed talking point at 6am means you're producing content which few people will see live on TV but will start to see appearing on their timelines when they wake up.

Yes I don't like him being there but they've basically given him free reign because it gets the show talked about. Hardly a day goes by when there isn't a story or video about Piers Morgan everywhere.

I don't expect there will have been anything written about Dan Walker today.

I doubt anything has been written about Dan Walker in months.

I do wonder if Susanna ever questions if this is what she signed up for.

Do Piers and Susanna basically come as package now, where he doesn't present with anyone else and they take holidays at the same time? (I haven't been following the rotas close enough)

GMB has never been in a stronger position presenters wise, as they know that if Piers either quits or goes too far that he has to be removed, Eammon Holmes is waiting in the wings, and Richard Madeley probably waiting behind him.

They've given up on getting the general audience and just trying to get social media reaction now.
Trolling for attention with the usual "Political correctness" gone mad stories. I'm shocked Katie Hopkins hasn't guest hosted yet.

I can't speak for others, and I didn't actually see the episode this morning, but have seen similar things that you've described with Piers. People tend to either love or have Piers but I do think he is a real asset to the programme. I don't always like his style and he can ramble a little, but I quite like the feeling that he really could say anything which makes for interesting viewing. It's probably a similar effect that Jeremy Clarkson had on Top Gear. I do also think he is good at really detailed interviews which has helped the programme quite a lot. Personally, I'm far more interested to hear the informal chat between Piers and Susanna than the news headlines, which I could easily get online and only read the stories that interest me. I do also like the interviews on interesting topics that they have become quite known for, much helped by Piers and Susanna's style in my opinion. This is only my personal view, and I though would hate to have to direct the programme given how off-focus Piers can get, from a viewers point of view, this is why I'd watch GMB over Breakfast anyday. Though it won't appeal to everyone, I wonder if, like me, other people like this about GMB which is why they switch on.

I don't watch GMB, but it seems to be all over my twitter this morning because they had a guest this morning who "cures" homosexuality. Is that the level they've stooped to for guests?

Someone who works for BBC Breakfast tweeted they'd have resigned if they'd booked him:
