No. There's adequate cover from ITV News if anything happens at the weekend, such as when the London Bridge attacks happened.

I don't personally see the point of having CITV on from 6 - 8:30, there is no requirement for it anymore. On demand and the digital channel arr more than enough, as are DVD's. No need for kids shows on ITV at that time, or ever.

You tell that to Ofcom then...

If I recall correctly, ITV (and GMTV before them) chose to replace weekend 'news' programming with kids shows.

Also do you think GMB should be commissioned on weekends especially when big news breaks?

Plenty of GMB during the week and news elsewhere too. You can spend your Sunday mornings watching GMB clips on Youtube if you so wish.

In all seriousness though for what it's worth I don't think it's worth while on Saturdays but might be worth it on Sundays from 7.30/8am through to 9.25am with Breakfast going off air to make way for Match of the Day.

So safe to say GMB has ditched the standing up shot at TOTH. Also do you think GMB should be commissioned on weekends especially when big news breaks?

They appeared to drop standing up for the TOTH the day after Piers ranted about technical problems and said something along the lines of "lets can it and sit down". Shame because for some reason I thought it was a nice touch them standing up for the top of the hour.

It would be nice if GMB launched a weekend edition, however it doesn't look likely.

As I've said before, the chances of the program launching at weekends is incredibly slim.

'Weekend' with Aled Jones gets something like 90,000 viewers I believe. The audience just isn't there. GMB could hope for 200k at most. It simply wouldn't be worth it for the amount it would cost.
BroadcastWales and London Lite gave kudos

Charlotte will be on Strictly !
Pheraps is this why we don't see Sean for a long time this summer, it's because he will be in for Charlotte ?

There is an audience there because look at what Weekend Breakfast gets.

But as with weekday GMB, ratings are not great, so yes they won't bother IMO.

Because it happens with everyone else. They still carry out their work duties. We will see in time but I'll be very surprised if I'm wrong. Anyway makes no deference they're both dull on GMB

Everyone else? As far as I remember, Kate and Richard both took time away from GMTV, as did Susanna from Breakfast.

Kate Garraway looks so fed up. Don't know if it's because she isn't with Ben or it's because she is with JK

I have to be honest though. JK is growing on me
